We would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Campos for making this project possible. We appreciate his dedication and flexibility throughout the course of our work; his enthusiastic engagement in the interviews was particularly helpful, revealing how much he enjoys painting and how masterful he is when telling his story. We would also like to thank Professor Glenn Hinson, the instructor of the first-year seminar “Windows of Mystery and Wonder: Exploring Self-Taught Art” (ANTH 77), for his help throughout the semester. This website was made possible because of his vision  to document and bring attention to self-taught artists in the area. Additionally, we owe a debt of gratitude to American Studies graduate student Elijah Gaddis, whose guidance on creating websites proved invaluable.   Lastly, we would like to thank the Beasley Multimedia Resource Center for allowing us to use their equipment to conduct our interviews with Mr. Campos.
